I arrived at Weybridge Mariners Club during the afternoon to get the DJ booth, sound system and lighting set up and ready for the 60th birthday celebrations.

The location made this event particularly memorable. Situated on Shepperton Lock Island beside the River Thames, the club has a fantastic riverside setting and provided a great backdrop for a summer birthday party.

The celebrations began during the afternoon, so I started with background music while guests arrived, chatted and enjoyed the surroundings.

As the afternoon moved into the evening, I gradually increased the tempo and moved into more upbeat music. With a mixed-age group of guests, I played a broad selection of familiar party favourites and dance-floor tracks, adapting the music throughout the evening according to what was getting the best response.

As the evening progressed, the dance floor filled and there was a great atmosphere for the rest of the celebration.

It was a really enjoyable 60th birthday party to DJ and a fantastic opportunity to provide entertainment at this amazingriverside venue.
