When I arrived at the Hazelwood Centre, the room was already starting to take shape for the birthday celebrations ahead. After unloading and setting up my DJ booth, sound system and lighting, I spent some time testing everything to make sure we were ready for a great night.
 

As guests arrived, the atmosphere built steadily throughout the evening. It was a mixed crowd with a wide range of ages, so the music had to cover a bit of everything. That's one of my favourite types of events because you get to see different generations enjoying the same dance floor together.
 

Once the formalities were out of the way and the party got underway, the dance floor quickly filled up. The guests were full of energy from the start and it didn't take long before requests were coming in and everyone was getting involved.
 

Throughout the night I mixed a variety of party classics, singalong favourites and dance floor fillers, adapting the music to the crowd as the evening progressed. The goal is always the same – keep the energy building and make sure everyone has a great time.
 

The birthday celebrations at Hazelwood Centre were a fantastic success, with a busy dance floor, great atmosphere and plenty of memorable moments throughout the evening. Nights like this are exactly why I love being a DJ.
