I recently had the opportunity to DJ at the opening of Sandwich Factory, a brand-new international restaurant located on Shaftesbury Avenue in London’s West End.
The event was designed to showcase the restaurant to invited guests, photographers, and media, with an evening of great food, networking, and a relaxed but energetic atmosphere. My role was to provide professional DJ entertainment that helped create the perfect ambience while guests explored the venue and sampled the menu.

My Story – DJing at the Opening of Sandwich Factory London
Arriving at Shaftesbury Avenue in London’s West End, I was greeted by the buzz of preparations for the opening of this brand-new international restaurant. Luckily, the rain stopped just long enough for me to unload my equipment and get everything inside.
I gave myself around an hour and a half to set up, making sure the DJ booth, sound system, and lighting were all ready before the guests arrived. Everything was in place and ready to go by 6:30pm, just in time for the start of the evening.
The aim of the night was to showcase just how good the restaurant really is, so getting the music right was key to setting the right tone. I selected a mix of stylish background music to create a relaxed but upbeat atmosphere as guests arrived.
Before long, the venue began to fill with invited guests, along with photographers capturing the evening. As the crowd grew, so did the number of incredible dishes coming out of the kitchen for everyone to sample.
I was even lucky enough to try one of the amazing food platters myself — and it certainly lived up to the hype.
By the end of the evening the event was a huge success. Amazing food paired with great music created the perfect vibe for a fantastic launch night.
