Driving into Weald of Kent always gives you the feeling that you're arriving somewhere special. Surrounded by rolling countryside and overlooking the golf course, it's a venue that combines stunning views with excellent event facilities.
 

For this particular event, I was booked to DJ a charity dinner attended by over 100 guests. After setting up my sound and lighting system during the evening reception, I worked closely with the organisers to ensure everything was ready once the fundraising activities and speeches had finished.
 

The evening included auctions, raffles and presentations before we moved into the entertainment section of the night. Once the formalities were complete, I opened the dance floor with a selection of soul, disco, pop and classic party tracks that suited the wide age range of guests attending.
 

One of the things I enjoy most about charity events is reading the room and adapting the music throughout the evening. As the dance floor filled, the playlist evolved to match the crowd, mixing well-known singalongs with classic party favourites to keep the energy high until the end of the night.
